Compliance is a department which breathes integrity, and whose primary function is to make the rest of the bank breathe integrity too. However, the complexity of our bank matched with the complexity of local and global regulations make it challenging to ensure a smooth process. And while Compliance aims to ensure cooperation throughout the whole bank and work “together with the business”, practice learns that it is hard for the department to be included in a positive way. Why is this? And how can we change this? In simple words, how do we ensure that Compliance receives a 5-star rating for its service?

It starts with speaking our minds during the Jong Rabo session with Angelique. In the session we will discuss the multiple facets of compliance in an informal “flipping the classroom” setting. This means that we will discuss a few, potentially thought provoking, statements about compliance which will not only reveal our own experiences and preconceived ideas about Compliance, but above all lead to higher understanding and creative ideas on how we all can work together better.
